DOG WHISPERER

A dog whisperer is someone with a highly developed sense of the mind and natural instincts of the canine species. This sense allows human and dog to form a deep bond without any constraints of human society.

Due to obvious differences between humans and dogs there is a communication gap. We can't have a friendly chit -chat with a dog over a cup of coffee, like with our human friends. But a dog whisperer has broken down these constraints of communication and has found a way to communicate with dogs.

Thinking of Dog

Sadly the majority of human-dog relationships in this world are one way affairs. Mostly it's the humans issuing commands or reprimanding our dogs, ostensibly unmindful of what our dogs are really feeling and trying to communicate to us. Think of it in another way – there is a very domineering person your own life who probably doesn't care much for your feeling's and your thoughts. They just ignore you when you try to say something. You feel frustrated and helpless . That is how many dogs feel in this type of situation every day. Our dogs are continuously reaching out and trying to communicate with their human family, but somehow it all seems to be misunderstood except by the dog whisperer.

Our dogs are constantly telling us something in their language. They communicate with us through different means using energy, body language, scent, facial expression, the movement of ears and tail, overall posture and voice (barking, growling). Most of these signals or expressions are non verbal whereas humans communicate mostly verbally. What a dog whisperer does is recognize the difference between human and dog. A dog whisperer observes and understands these gestures of our dogs. You can also form a deep bond with your dog if you understand his wants and needs and behave accordingly. Feel for your dog instead of just issuing and enforcing orders.

It is only after understanding our dogs that we can tackle their problems and shape their behavior. A dog whisperer treats a dog as a dog, not as a cute and cuddly four legged human .They respect the natural instincts of the canine species. But mostly dogs aren’t given this respect and level of understanding. They are showered with love and the best of everything (toys, treats, fancy beds etc.) but this is not what dogs really desire.
A common scenario is when you arrive home from the office to discover that your dearly loved dog has once again chewed up the cushions that were nicely decorating the sofa. You raise hell at him/her and tell him/her how disillusioned you are. As you are blowing off steam your dog is avoiding you, head down low, not a sign of dog whisper, with tail tucked between his hind legs.
This is the point when many dog owners look at the dog and say "look at the little bugger; he/she knows what he's/she's done wrong, just look at how guilty he/she looks". This is the not the right conclusion to make. Your dog does not know what is right or wrong. He/she did not have dogs training.

Dogs don’t understand your language; they just react to your angry voice and hostile body language. He/she may have also learned what the penalty is when you arrive home in this type of mood - he/she was perhaps waiting for the punishment .This is an example of the different viewpoint of humans and dogs. Dog whisperer is one who understands and recognizes the differences between dogs and humans and acts accordingly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you communicate with your dog, it affects your entire relationship and the bond you share. The benefit of using dog whispering techniques in dog training is that you generate an environment where your dog opts to work with you and doesn't feel under pressure to perform. Dog whispering in a training perspective is motivational, friendly and based on repetition and constructive support. It's a give and take procedure, just like any purposeful, working association. During dogs training, a dog whisperer watches, listens, identifies, interprets and develops an understanding of the dogs’ actions, feelings and needs. He/she also uses energy, soft voice, body language and scent - in an abiding, reliable manner. The dogs involved are sure to be studying and soaking up on all these gestures, despite how subtle they may appear.
